Answer: All of the questions listed are important to ask to help with generating a thorough differential diagnosis.

Here’s some additional history:

She has not noticed any change in vision in either eye. She also denies discharge or crusting around lashes, but does note redness as times. She has tried using visine for the past 2 weeks with transient relief of symptoms. She deniesĀ  photophobia, or contact lens wear. Of note, she had uncomplicated LASIK eye surgery 1 year ago.
