Answer: B-scan can be helpful especially in cases where there is a poor view perhaps due to cataract or vitreous hemorrhage and to confirm presence of shallow detachments. OCT macula can also be helpful to determine extent of macular involvement and would demonstrate separation of photoreceptor layers from the RPE.
